This is a photo of a man walking into the movie theaters. He is an African American man, as you can see, he is entering the movie theather through the "colored" section. This represents the era in history that we are looking at because in the book, To Kill A Mockingbird, a lot of it is having to do with discrimination. This is a good representation of discrimination because black people were not even allowed to go into the movies the same way as white people did. It also is a good representation of the Great Depression because if you look at the sign next to the entrance, you'll see a sign that says $4.00.
